Heritage Center-Museum on Main Street in Aguilar will be closed for the Winter months.  Reservations can be made by calling 719-406-5203.  No evenings.        We will reopen in June 2026  

Our "grand opening" event will feature live presentations about the people and places of the Apishapa Valley from pioneers to infamous gangsters who helped create our fascinating history    

 

The museum will showcase  "Legends of Las Animas County"  

and aim to enhance public understanding with the motto

"Keeping the past - part of the future"  

Apishapa Valley Historical Society meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of  the month at 1:00 PM at the Aguilar Community Center
